Iveco 3.5 ton Race Transporter

For sale Iveco 3.5T race transporter, with 12 months MOT, which can be driven on a normal car licence. I have used it for carrying a Dallara F3 car for the last 5 years, and due to the special large sized box, should accommodate most formula race cars or sports protos.

 

Iveco 35C13, with 2.3 litre Diesel engine. Current mileage is approx. 365,000 KMs and MOT’d until 15th May 2027. First registered November 2010 and was a special body build from new to carry mattresses for a foam company.  I’m the 2nd owner and converted it to a race transporter which could also offer basic living accommodation while at the circuit. Can carry 3 people in the cab and sleep 3 people in the back.

 

Fitted with a 5m wind out awning, horse box side door, light weight alloy  steps,  Electric power in / out from circuit plug in, interior lights, electric winch, bench, pull down murphy bed, hanging brackets for spare nose/rear wing and useful interior shelfing for simple circuit living. The long alloy ramps are stored underneath the bed of the van, giving more space inside the van, as you don’t need platforms. The green alloy body has some battle scars from trees and bushes and would benefit from another polish as the original mattress sign writing is beginning to reappear again. 

 

My F3 was loaded using alloy ramps and an electric winch. Once inside the van, the F3 is transported with its nose on, with space to hang a spare nose / rear wing / jacks etc on the walls.

 

Width between rear barn doors for loading is 195cm, with internal width once through the doors of 215cm. Internal barn door height is 215cm, and once through the doors, a height of 235cm.

Internal bed length (to the Luton part) is 560cm.

The overall exterior length of the van is 800cm and 320cm tall.

It also doubles up a s a great storage space when not at the race track.

 

The van has been looked after mechanically by commercial specialists,  G & CA Lombardo in March, Cambshire and has been well maintained. Notable work I’ve had carried out in addition to the conversion includes a timing belt replacement, new rear brakes, new front wheels, rear U-bolts and anything which has been needed. For a big van it is very easy to drive and I would go to Monza in it tonight if needed. The van comes with a spare wheel but no spare tyre is fitted (Foam puncture repair cans are included, but I never needed them) Van is kept in KT5 postcode and viewing is welcomed.

 

It is for sale because I’ve now sold my F3 and I am taking a breather from racing for a while. Its a lot of 3.5 ton race transporter for the money and would be well suited to a club racer.
