In 2001 until 2003 the DTM was replaced by the famous V8 STAR series which was the fastest GT Sportscar series so far. It was a manufacturer independent serie which developed pretty fast to the most popular Racing serie in German Motorsport.

In 2001 the legendary Jonny Cecotto won in 2002 as well and in 2003 the later F1 pilot Pedro Lamy.

The car no3 was the car of SST Engineering driven by Kurt Thiim from 2001-2003 in 2003 the drove as well the 24h of Nürburgring with this car. What I know the only V8 STAR drove the 24h of Nürburgring.

The car is ready to race and is used right now as Trackday Tool. The original Shiloutte is not mounted but comes along with the car so that the oem Shiloutte of the car is protected. In addition there comes a brand new Gear Box as spare part along with the car.

The car is still in the original condition of 2001, however on regular base maitained and right now with a VW Passat Shiloutte mounted. The car has two upgrades a slightly stronger 5.7 L Roush Engine with 580hp and brake with ABS latest technical stand. The mounted gearbox was overhuled in 2020, all ignition parts in 2022 and the air compression lever in 2023.
