Lotus 47 

We are in the presence of a Lotus type 47, year 1968, a racing version of the Lotus Europe series Type 46. This was presented almost simultaneously with the 46. This version is equipped with a Lotus-Ford Twin Cam Cosworth engine, with a power of around 165 hp. It received certain modifications: suspension close to that of the Formula 2 Type 41, improved braking with discs at the front and rear. The gearbox is a 5-speed Hewland FT200. The exact number of Lotus 47s is unknown but it is estimated that around 80 were produced. Our example is a left-hand drive, registered, up-to-date HTP. His last outing at Le Mans Classic was marked by top performances, finishing 30th overall and completing his best lap in 5.06 min. This is a car ready to race.
