Suzuki Swift Sport ZC33S - 893kg Road Legal Track Car

Description:

Suzuki Swift Sport 1.4 ZC33S - 2018 desirable Non-Hybrid Model (Lighter)- for those of you who don’t know much about these Suzuki Swifts, they were used at Rent4Ring rental car company at the Nurburgring for many seasons. They have somewhat of a cult following out there and praised for being extremely reliable, lightweight and cheap to run with ability to do sub 08:00 minute laps Nurburgring BTG (with the right driver!) - Best I got was 08:19 on a tourist day with a yellow flag. The car is pretty well known with a large following. You can see further build pictures and videos online:

I had a lot of time to think about the perfect budget track car. I wanted something that was absolute bullet proof and reliable, not rusty and old with everything needing replaced (Clios / Civics) and very light because everything is better when light. The Suzuki’s are 970kg from factory and mines weighs 893kg verified - Tyres and brakes last forever on this car. I done 65 spirited laps over a weekend at the Nurburgring on A052s and they looked like they had 70% life left. This car never overheats. I tend to do 3x laps back to back at the Nurburgring or 15 laps of any circuit I am on. It has had zero issues, it will not break, it has never been crashed and greatly over-performs in terms of what it passes on track.

Although stripped out and with a roll cage the car is still Road Legal, MOT’d, Taxed and Insured. I still drive it to Knockhill my local track using adaptive cruise control and bluetooth audio with speakers on the way up. Averages around 45mpg which is insane! I also drove it across to the Nurburgring etc, so pretty handy if you want a car that you can still drive without access to a trailer.

200bhp and 893kg. The engine is 1.4 turbo but the HKS turbo makes it feel very much like an NA car with zero turbo lag, instant response and linear power right through the rev range - I have a full folder of invoices, documentation, rolling road print outs etc. I got pretty carried away with modifications buying most of the parts brand new from Japan. I have tried to list these as best as I could below:

  • HKS GTIII Turbo
  • HKS Sports Cat Cell 200 & Link Pipe
  • HKS Spec - L Exhaust
  • HKS Racing Carbon Fibre Suction Intake
  • HKS Super Fire Spark Plugs
  • HKS SQV Blow-Off Valve (recirc)
  • GReddy TWR Radiator + Uprated Hoses
  • Wagner Competition Intercooler
  • CTC Intercooler Boost Hoses
  • Wedssport TC105x 17x8
  • Yokohama AO52 (215/40/17)
  • Tein Flex Z Coilovers
  • Cusco Engine Mounts
  • Cusco Front Strut Brace
  • Cusco Rear Anti Roll Bar 20mm
  • Cusco Front Lower Power Brace
  • Cusco Mid Lower Power Brace
  • Cusco Rear Pillar Power Brace
  • Cusco Chromoly Steel Roll Cage - 6 Point
  • Powerflex Gearbox Mount
  • R’s Racing Front Upper Mount
  • Ferodo DSUNO Pads + HEL Braided Lines
  • Audi RS3 Brake Ducts Cooling
  • LAILE Gear Linkage Bushings
  • Monster Sport Upper and Lower Grill Set
  • Monster Sport Aero Wind Deflectors
  • GReddy Carbon Fibre Spoiler
  • GReddy Aero Front Splitter
  • TRD Front Canards
  • NOCO Lithium Battery (1.5kg)
  • R’s Racing Lightweight Flywheel
  • Exedy Performance Paddle Clutch
  • Quaife Helical LSD
  • Clubsport Rear Seat Delete
  • Recaro Pole Position ABE: Leather / Suede
  • Recaro Aluminium Seat Mounts
  • Defi Digital Gauges - Live Temperatures
  • Schroth 6 Point Harness

I will let you do the maths on how much I have spent on parts, shipping and import fees from Japan. I think the car is very well priced for what it is. Very much a hassle-free, reliable track car that will outperform pretty much 70% of the cars on a track day and leave people speechless when you tell them it is a 1.4 litre.

Serviced every couple of track days or 3000 miles or less with HKS oil filter, premium engine and gearbox oil etc. All invoices and records for all consumables also kept in the folder. The car is in used condition, it has regularly been detailed and often praised on how clean it is whenever out. It does have some chips and road rash from track use but nothing major at all and only pointing out to be very clear in terms of condition.

I am only considering selling as most of my friends now have TCR cars and don’t have the garage space to also keep this car. I have had a lot of fun with the build and achieved the goals I set out to achieve so now it is on to something new and different. Any questions don’t hesitate to ask.

  • 59.3 - Knockhill Racing Circuit
  • 1.59.2 - Oulton Park
  • 8.05 - Nurburging BTG (Misha Driving)

All front interior of the car is OEM and remains intact with front air bigs still connected. Plenty of spare parts can be included in the price too. Rough £1000 worth of spare parts includinf turbo, Ferodo DS3000s Exhaust cat etc.

WOULD CONSIDER A PX FOR A NICE HONDA CIVIC EG - K20 or K24 SWAP.

ideal would be a clean Honda EG6 with a K24 NA engine.
