Reynard SF78 FF2000

Well known and fast car in the Historic FF2000 championship, owned and raced by me for approx. 10 years, cups galore for very regular top 5 finishes over the years and developed and maintained no expense spared by TS Historic – Tom Smith ex FF2000 champion.  It has all current mods and spec which are fully championship legal!  Has HSCC VIF showing authenticity.

Been raced less frequently over the last couple of years due to other competing historic race cars to use.

Went through a full service winter 24/25 and used at three meetings in 2025 season (including two class wins with Equipe Formula Libre).  The service included new disks, serviced dampers, new brake and clutch seals, all new brake caliper pistons, new fluids, extinguisher service, radiator guards, new LHS radiator, driveshaft regrease and new bolts.

Was rebuilt on a complete new chassis pre-covid with new bodywork and many new parts.

A new top spec Paul Gardener Racing Engines motor was built in 2018 which has been refreshed as necessary.  Recent head/valve reseat carried out winter 24/25.  12 hours on motor and gearbox since refresh.  Good for another season.

The phrase "no expense spared" gets used a lot, but literally anything that this car has needed to keep it in top condition has been done in my ownership.

Overall, fabulous car to drive, makes “senior” drivers like me look good at 65 and can win races in the hands of slightly greater talent!
