Description:

This ex-Calum Grant, Patrick Head designed Delta T78, holds multiple race wins and, until this season, held the fastest ever lap in the class around Cadwell Park. In my hands it qualified 3rd (finished P4 just behind Grahm Fennymore), first time out and has recently run 0.7s under the lap record at Oulton Park. The car is fast but forgiving, in both wet and dry conditions. The engine which is proven to be very strong (recently power tested at Lynx AE) has received a head refresh and bottom end inspection - 0 miles. The car has been expertly setup by Nigel Grant to genrate high levels of mechanical grip with good front to rear balance (some Deltas suffer from excessive understeer), allowing it to run very low aero whilst remaining stable. The car is fitted with a high aero (low drag) nose with extended splitter (many Delta's are not) contrubuting to its excellent aero balance.

The car has genuine provenance; its current livery recreates that run in period to great sucess by Ian Briggs, and is identified with original Delta factory manufactured chassis plate #008 and is offered with period photos and press clippings. 

Only a few test days over the past two years, the car is ready to race and has been continually developed and maintained by Nigel Grant Motorsport to a high standard, with recent damper dyno at Bilstein, new front wheel bearings, brake master cylinders, brake pads, ignition system, battery, and current fire extinguisher.

The car is running to curent HSCC Historic FF2000 regulations, wherby you can join a very friendly club, with healthy and competitive grids, offering an affordable entry point to 'slicks and wings' historic racing.

Supplied with 1 set of Hoosier slicks and mag wheels. By negotiation:  1 set of Avon slicks and Avon wets, both on mag wheels. Range of alternate gear ratios, starter battery and assorted spares.
