Description:

This car with chassis number 79SF-058 was designed, manufactured and originally assembled by me in 1979 and as such has a unique history. I raced several cars in 1979 when I won the F2000 European although no precise chassis records exist of cars I drove.  My 79SF cars were sold in 1980 and I have the advert listing the sale price at £5,500....

In 2014, I was asked by Clive Fidgeon to help with the restoration of this car by Neil Fowler Motorsport since he wanted to rebuild it in my Canadian Club livery.  I also helped with a dyno test of the engine.

Clive then asked me to test it at Silverstone and race it at Brands.  The car was subsequently sold in September 2015 to Charlie Kemp who raced it to a debut win.  The car was then stored.

I managed to buy the well preserved car from Nigel Kemp (Charlie's father) in January 2022 in and set about some further prep and my own updates by Andrew Honey.

I loaned the car to Samuel Harrison for the 2024 HSCC FF2000 Championship which he duly won with 9 race wins.  Samuel raced with a Simms engine and later a Gardner engine which was rebuilt (new pistons etc) and finished the season quite fresh. 

For the 2025 season the car was raced by Michael Moyers with the rebuilt Gardner engine.  The car had one win and 3 seconds.

It is offered with a spare nose and splitter, a set of Revolution with Avon wets, 2 spare rear wings and wing mount.  Other spares by negotiation.

I also have for sale separately the Simms engine which is quite fresh.
