1969 TechCraft Buick Hillclimb Winner - Reserved
Description:
This iconic and highly successful car was built by Roy Lane and Nicholls Engineering. It was used by Lane throughout the 1969 season, taking second place overall in the RAC Championship and a race win at Silverstone.
The TechCraft subsequently passed through the hands of several owners before being purchased by Peter Voigt in the late 1980s. Peter had considerable success with the car over many years, at one time holding classic records at Loton Park, Shelsley Walsh and Prescott.
Fitted with a strong Rover/Buick engine and a valuable Hewland DG300 gearbox.
Although cosmetically in very good condition, the TechCraft has not been used for many years and will require re-commissioning. It also lacks a working remote or on-board starting system, which would need to be developed. Complete with a second set of wheels, a spares package and a history file.
Offered for sale from the estate of the late Peter Voigt, and may be viewed in West Sussex. Please contact me for further details and photos, or to arrange a viewing.
