On behalf of a retiring customer, we are marketing a complete Formula Ford 1600 motor, last built by Newbridge Engineering Services (Tony Broster). At £3600, we feel this unit is very fairly priced, especially as the value of freshly rebuilt and brand new FF1600 engines has shot up in recent years.

The engine comes complete with Pace 3-port pump, Bosch Hall effect distributor, 170T water pump drive, and clutch assembly. We have run the engine on our test rig and the oil pressure when hot is good and the ignition timing is sensible.

The customer is unsure of the exact mileage or date of the last rebuild as the engine has been kept for many years as a spare motor and hasn't been fitted to a car for a number of seasons. It is, therefore, sold as seen.

We have not dyno tested the engine, and it is our recommendation that the purchaser has this unit fully rebuilt (either by us or their chosen engine builder) before taking it on track. It is the ideal unit for someone just starting their FF1600 journey, or perhaps for a cost-effective conversion to Clubmans B-Sport specification.

The engine is currently based at our Cornish workshop however, delivery to the purchaser can be arranged at additional cost.
