Front running 1972 Merlyn MK20A Formula Ford 1600 currently racing in the HSCC Historic Formula Ford Championship with Nigel Grant Racing.

The car is comes complete with a strong Scholar Engine and HSCC VIF and will be available to collect at Silverstone on the 13th of October after the Finals race.

I Have owned the car for 1 year and have competed in all but one round of the HSCC historic FF1600 Championship. In that time I have managed to achieve moderate success in just a handfull of races despite being a newcomer to FF, including a win, pole position and multiple podiums, proving the car is very competitive.

Recently the car has benefited from new Gaz Shocks, radiator, steering wheel and professional race prep meaning the car has had anything it needs to be competitive.

Previously owned by experienced racer Chris Porritt who also succefully campaigned the car for a few years with the HSCC. 

All Merlyn parts are still readily available with the MK20A being a very popular choice amongst racers looking to be competitive.

The advantage of buying a Historic over a Classic Formula Ford (1972 on) allows you to also race with the classic FF1600's at the same race meaning you can double your track time over one race weekend.

Only selling as I'm considering trying other Historic racing categories.
