Talbot Lotus Sunbeam 1982 series 2 to full works Group 2 tarmac specification in works livery in immaculate condition £75000 GBP

Built in 2007 by Jim Little one of the mechanics to build the original works cars. It has been built to the same specification as the works cars plus additional improvements no expense spared. Of the 16 works cars built Jim little has restored or refurbished 8 of them and they are in collectors hands. Jim under his Little Bit Sideways business built only approximately 20 cars to the works spec standard and not all of them were built to the full spec that this car has been built.

The car was an original Talbot Lotus road car which was stripped and sandblasted and the car was prepared built and finished entirely by Jim Little

The car was stripped resprayed and rebuilt in 2014/15 to the same standard. The car was returned to Jim Little to put the finishing touches and check the rebuild to ensure the car was in the same condition as when originally built. Jim Little can be contacted to confirm the provenance of the car.

The shell was originally seam welded and strengthened the tunnel enlarged the rear compartment altered to fit the alloy fuel tank alloy oil tank and twin fuel pumps OMP bolt in roll cage fitted plus extra bars.

The engine was built by Phil Davidson (Ravik engines) the original engine builder of the works engines to the full works specification dry sump all steel engine big valves twin Delorto 48 carbs etc.  In 2015 the engine was rebuilt by him with 230 bop 185Clb ft torque and has done no miles except on the Dyno sheet available. The engine was built with engine longevity in mind rather than maximum power. Stainless steel exhaust

New ZF 5 speed works spec gearbox built by Motorsport Transmissions,  Gearbox bell housing is quick release as per group 4 escorts. This was  the first Lotus to have this modification was carried out by Jim Little. Gearbox mounting and competition clutch . Light weight tarmac spec sumpguard

New H4a axle built by Jim Little 4.6-1 crown wheel and pinion LSD fully rose jointed adjustable 12mm rose jointed anti roll bar alloy axle brace AP 2 pot callipers with vented discs and bells Bilstien rear shockers 280/130 ( one rally since new ). New tubular top arms and double strengthened lower arms. Rear springs 240 lb fl 10 inch balanced prop shaft .

Heavy duty X member with new modified high ratio steering rack and track rods new rose jointed arms and tie bars all made by Jim Little tarmac spec anti roll bar Bilstien adjustable front struts 280/130 inserts ( used on one rally since new) alloy bearing rally top mounts AP 4 pot callipers and bells ventilated discs. Electric power steering making for easier steering and handling

Lightweight competition wiring loom built by Bremax Electronics fully areo quip fuel brake and oil lines hydraulic hand brake alloy radiator electric Ken low 13”fan C-rally trip meter two avanti map lights laminated heated front screen glass windows to doors rear tailgate and rear quarter windows light weight polycarbonate spare wheel ladder and strap momo deep dish steering wheel twin break fluid reservoir’s adjustable pedal box alloy navigator foot rest six lamp pod with PIAA competition lights with platinum competition bulbs Lifeline 360 extinguisher system car cover included quick raise wheel jack mud flaps to msa  requirements msa logbook and set of homologation papers

Car set up by 4 wheel alignment by Bram Racing motorsport  showing near perfect alignment sheet included

Wheel s included genuine Minilite wheel’s 4 no 8J x 13, 8 no 7J x 13 , 3 spoke revolution wheel’s 6 no 6J x 13

Spares a pair of Bilstien tarmac rear shockers pair of rear lower suspension arms pairs of front control arms and tie rods fully rose jointed all in good condition and 4 car stands

Car is ready to rally except for requiring new seats seat belts  and fire extinguisher’s as those fitted out of date. New tyres may be required again due to age of tyres

The car has been stored in god dry well sealed garage on raised stands
