Description:

Rebuilt Getrag 235/5 5-speed Close-Ratio 'Sport' Gearbox for Chevette HS HSR Lotus Sunbeam Jensen GT with Dog-Leg first.

This 'box has undergone a complete rebuild, the casing cleaned and worn parts replaced (bearings, synchros, gaskets etc). The gearbox hasn't been used since the rebuild but it has been lying in my garage for a few years. Everything works as it should and this is a rare gearbox with matching part numbers, homologated for racing and rallying, which makes it extremely well-suited for historic road rallies. Has a speedo drive fitted!

Ratio's are the same as the original BMW 'Sport' gearbox as used on the 1800 TISA and 2002 Turbo:

1st:  3.37 : 1

2nd: 2.16 : 1

3rd:  1.58 : 1

4th:  1.24 : 1

5th:       1 : 1

Be aware that this will not fit the BMW's, because the input shaft is different and the bellhousing is separate.
