Description:

Curious set of components apparantly designed to convert a VW transaxle to operate with a side selector finger (a la Hewland) rather than the orginal rearwards facing selector.

Origins unknown but suggestions have been early Formula Junior or possibly Formula Vee...Some of the components are robust purpose made alloy castings so it does not appear to be a one-off production. Matters are made more confusing as the rear cover carries a slightly battered Cooper identification plate though there is no evidence that the components were made by Coopers. Very possible though that it could have been fitted to a Cooper at some point perhaps when an original ERSA box went caput
