The Maserati Gransport Trofeo from 2003 originally came from Australia and was used for the first time in the preliminary program of the Formula 1 race in Melbourne.
In 2010, the vehicle made its way to Europe, where it was used in races on circuit and hill climbs event as well.

The factory car reworked by AF Corse includes the following changes: 
- Larger front and rear brakes
- Reinforced front wishbones
- Front stabilizer bar
- Special cooling system for the front brakes
- Sachs dampers front and rear
- Specific suspension settings
- 100 liter fuel safety tank
- Racing seats from OMP with 6-point harness
- Safety roll bar and cage
- Aerodynamic kit
- Specific electronic race mapping of the engine

In addition to the above-mentioned factory modifications, the following improvements were made to this vehicle:
- improved oil pump for the Cambiocorse gearbox
- Gearbox cooler
- Optimized transmission software
- Öhlins dampers front and rear
- Carbon/Kevlar hood
- Front mudguards made of carbon/kevlar
- Super light rims
- Front bumper made of carbon/kevlar
- Power increase to 538 hp and 560 Nm

The Maserati Grandsport Trofeo is in top condition and is for sale due to the purchase of a Maserati Trofeo Light.
