Description:
Originally built by GTF Sportscars, using a modfied Cerbera chassis. The whole body has been handmade from moulds with the front and rear clam shells. The car an FIA approved bag tank, 110 litres. Car also comes with airjacks. It is currently running on Ohlins adjustable dampers with AP calipers on the rear axle and HiSpec calipers on the front. Car comes with full Schroth 6 point harness and fully plumbed in lifeline fire extinguisher. It has a race logic dash with data logger and Omex mappable ECU. The car currently runs with a tremec viper 6 speed box. Car benefits from an ARE dry sump system. It comes with 2 spare sets of wheels and tyres. Unfortunately it has a blown chevy LS3 motor which I am told is salvageable. The car originally cost £110k to build. The car has been running in the Dunlop TVR Challenge for the last 2 years and was developing nicely. until I blew the engine at Snetterton. Unfortunately I do not have the budget to carry on with my beloved car so regrettably have made the difficult decision to part with it. In my view, the car would benefit from a new Chevy LS3 (approx £5.5k + VAT) and would definitely see it's true potential with a Quaife sequential gearbox (approx £7.5k + VAT). The car has been run for the last 2 seasons with the help of TVRSSW who know the car very well and I am sure would be delighted to put it back on the track if called upon. The car took pride of place at the 2016 Race Retro show on the BRSCC stand and was featured in their yearbook. The car is a real beast and creates a lot of interest wherever it goes. I am just sad that I cannot finish the car to its full potential but would like it to go to a good home with somebody who can do it justice.
I also have a 6 wheel Brian James tilt bed race trailer complete with tyre rack and electric winch for separate negotiation if required.
