Marcos LM600 EVO Works Car

This works Marcos must be considered to be the pinnacle of almost 50 years of Marcos Racing History.

In 1999 The Marcos Sportscars Ltd’s racing activities were acquired by Eurotech BV of The Netherlands. Following a significant investment, Wiet Huidekoper (of Porsche GT1 fame) was commissioned to take the existing LM600 GT2 as a starting point and design this now famous LM600 EVO.  Huidekoper developed an entirely new tubular chassis around a mid mounted Chevy LS6, and a light yet very strong driveline featuring an aluminum torque tube, transaxle and Hewland 6 speed transmission.

The car on sale is the 2nd of 4 cars built. It was completed in 2000 and was raced extensively until 2003 by Cor Euser and others. It took part in among others the UK GT championship, the Spanish GT championship as well as many US races including two entries in the 24 hours of Daytona.

In 2005 Eurotech completely rebuilt/upgraded the car and entered it in the 2006 Belcar class 1 (GT1) championship with Marc Goossens and Danny van Dongen. It scored no less than 5 podiums out of 6 races and came second in the 24 hours of Zolder.  It lapped Spa just under 2”16” and is therefore arguably the most successful and reliable Marcos ever built. It retains its original 2006 colors and will be delivered race ready to the new owner by Eurotech of The Netherlands.
