1973 Formula 2 GRD ex-Reine Wisell

GRD 273 chassis no. 062 was supplied new to Pierre Robert Racing for Reine Wisell to drive. He won in it at the Nurburgring, the only non-BMW engined F2 car to win in 1973. After many years in a museum, the car has now been completely stripped and restored to its original specification with many new parts, including front discs and calipers, front and rear sub-frames, complete new fuel system with a new Premier bag tank, new oil tank, new radiators etc. The car is fitted with a Rfully reconditioned Gathercole alloy block BDG with dyno time only and an FG400 gearbox which has also been completely rebuilt

The car comes with a new FIA passport, an extensive history file and the original GRD service manual complete with set up data. It also has a spare nose and a selection of spare gear ratios. This is a famous car in its original livery, eligible for the Derek Bell Trophy and Historic Formula 2, in which it will be ultra competitive since it can run at the lowest weight for 2 litre Formula 2 cars with the most extreme wing position.
