1967 morris minor Special Saloon/Thunder Saloon.

The car was built by Chris Issac in 2013, a well known race car and drag car builder and built to a very high standard.

Chris raced the car on circuits and hill climbs from 2013 to 2017

I bought the car in 2017 and raced in the CSCC Special Saloon and Modsports class, the Classic Touring Car thunder saloon class and the HSCC special saloon class. The car is elegiable to race in a number of other club series.

The car runs a 6277cc small block chevy prepared by Jeff Bull Race Engines with approximately 425HP, a 5 speed TKO Tremec Transmission through a Ram twin-plate 7.25” metalic discs clutch to a ford 9” axle with slipper LSD and Strange Engineering halfshafts.

The engine runs a MSA (USA) 6-AL ignition controler, Dedenbear electric water pump and holly 650cfm carb. The engine runs a moroso 3 quart accumulator and mocal oil cooler.

The engine rev limit is set at 5200rpm to 5800rpm and usueable torque from 1500rpm to 5800rpm.

Driver gauges include rev counter, oil pressure, oil temperature, water temperature, fuel pressure, GPS datalogger.

Car sits on 3 piece 16” Image RM2 rims with a set of Avon slicks. There is also a set of Image RM2 rims with Avon wets included. Dunlop 16" slicks can also be run.

An example of circuit performance is shown for Thruxton 2024 and car has numerous class wins and an overall win at Cadwell.
