We are pleased to offer this highly competitive Rüddel Motorsport prepared Ford Escort RS1800 Mk2 - Group 2 for sale. Originally constructed from a standard Escort Mk2 bodyshell and initially prepared to full Group 4 specification for the personal use of Robert Rüddel, this car benefits from direct provenance to one of Germany’s most respected historic Ford specialists. Around 2017, the car was sold to a private customer and converted by Rüddel Motorsport to full FIA Group 2 circuit racing specification. The car has since been campaigned successfully in German DRM and Youngtimer racing events, particularly at the Nürburgring, where it has demonstrated consistent front-running performance.

The car is prepared in accordance with FIA Homologation Form No. 1605, utilizing all available extensions of this homologation. It is supplied with a valid FIA Historic Technical Passport (HTP) valid until the end of 2028 and is sold in 100% race-ready condition with a fresh, zero miles 2.0-litre Cosworth BDG engine built by Rüddel Motorsport in early 2026 delivering 285 bhp. Induction is through Lucas mechanical fuel injection, gearbox is a ZF 5-speed close-ratio box with ZF plate-type limited slip differential, AP Racing braking system with ventilated discs front and rear and a valid FIA FT3 safety fuel cell. Spares consist of 3 front and 3 rear wheels.
