This stunning 1998/9 Ford Taurus genuine original NASCAR Cup car is eligible for numerous prestigious events and already has invites for this season. Having undergone a 2 year body restoration the condition is no comparison to the majority out there needing a lot of work and investment when you see them.

It was an ex-Gary Bradberry No.78 road course car which according to reports was rebuilt at the end of the season and then put away and not used again when the team ran out of budget. The excellent condition of the chassis and components certainly support that. It was then used by Benny Parsons as the ESPN2 studio car, where it was used during broadcasts of the NASCAR cup series coverage to explain technical aspects of the cars to viewers. Later it was on display in the Winston Cup museum before being shipped over to American Speed and Thunder in the U.K. where its undergone many thousands of pounds of work in preparation for use. Currently it has a show correct type Roush C3 cup engine fitted.

There is the option to purchase with the car for an additional £12,500 a fresh just rebuilt Roush C3 cup engine with 730-750hp and rebuilt clutch ready to fit. Alternatively any number of less expensive V8's, 351 Windsor etc. could be fitted for demo or track/race use, Bernie's V8's.

Its got a great spec - Laughlin chassis with Penske dampers, side shift dog box, Wilwood GT brakes, nicely trimmed Butler containment seat, Weaver dry sump, rare twin side exit exhaust system etc.

The car was shown at American Speedfest last year at Brands Hatch and the plan was to drive it at events this season but due to calendar clashes with another championship I'm racing in I've decided to sell it as is rather than put it in storage. If the buyer wanted it running American Speed and Thunder can do that, I'm happy to help a buyer with International shipping too.
