Looking at selling my 2007 Radical SR8 

 

2.6 Radical RPE Macroblock V8, Jenvey throttle bodies, life racing F88 ECU revs to 10,500rpm and around 385bhp and the car weighs 700kgs,

Dry sump engine with oil tank in the bellhousing,

Twin radiator setup (one in front, one in side pod)

Hewland JFR 6 speed sequential transaxle gearbox with geartronics pneumatic paddle shift, flat up shift and and blipper for down shift so you only need the clutch for pulling away.

The car has been upgraded with an Aim SW4 320 steering wheel which brings the dashboard onto the steering wheel, it shows all ECU data via CAN and has set warning limits depending on the severity it can flick a warning light on or change the screen to red it's all user adjustable, it also has GPS for lap times, Delta to best lap, predictive lap, best lap and even session timer. The wheel costs £3700, loom for wheel £300 and Aim GPS unit another £300 to give the cockpit a newer feel and you can also use the wheel for sim racing!

1 set image rims with near new goodyear Wets (£1650 for the tyres alone) which have done minimal running.

External battery and trolly with anderson connecters for priming oil system.

Queit exhaust with 3 silencers

I also have a loud exhaust if needed (it's very loud)

The car also has air jacks but but the bottle and lance is not included.

Recent new discs and pads all round (£1400)

Recent new clutch, crank sensor crankshaft oil seal and driveshaft seal (another £1400)

Recent new lifeline 2000 mechanical fire extinguisher

Recent new upgraded fuel tank (54 litres), pumps, filter, swirl pot and alot of new lines and bulkhead fittings to fit the new larger fuel tank. So no fuel surge issues like the standard radical system. 

Recent new rear uprights, stub axles and bearings from Radical UK (over £3k fitted)

Recent new plugs, throttle bodies balanced and wheel alignment. 

Fresh engine and gearbox oil.

Recent shorter gear ratios fitted (165mph top speed) 

 

I've completed 7 races this year and it has finished every race without issue. 

 

History

The car was raced in radical European masters 2009 / 10 which went to circuits like nurburgring, spa francorchamps, silverstone GP. And was also raced in the gulf radical cup around 2011 in the UAE and it was then returned to the UK where it was used as a sprint car for around 10 years, although only entering a handful of sprints. Since owning it I've competes in knockhill modsports and Equipe sports prototype series with good results. 

Just to put into perspective how fast this car is in the right hands, the SR8's have done 43 second laps around brands indy, 1:17's around croft, 1:26's around Donnington GP, 1:02's around the national circuit and did hold the lap record at cadwell with a 1:22!

For those that aren't very familiar with radicals regard to spare parts, radical still sell most parts for it and Hewland sell gearbox parts via Hewland classic or pitlane spares who both have have good stock of new and used. Engine wise they are mostly suzuki hayabusa parts with the bespoke parts in the bottom end and dry sump system available from Radical Motorsport. 

The price is £36,500 

Or £34,500 with the original stack dash and steering wheel fitted.
