Built by 888 Race Engineering for James Thompson to clinch the 2004 Driver's Championship.Later tested by Colin Turkinton in Spain who describes it as a superb chassis especially VS the Sport Hatch being tested at the time

Since fitted a fully developed turbocharged engine using much modified Cosworth/C20XE castings and internals together with a fully developed GM F28 FWD drive train - dog engagement, revised ratios and LSD to propel the car to 150mph on most English circuits Note: Xtrac did not have a FWD gearbox capable of transmitting 380lbf.ft of torque at the time

EFI Euro6 ECU now fitted launch and traction control with some 30 settings in the latter. Comes complete with track and engine data acquisition via a lap top including comms cable

The car has completed some 30+ hours in Thunder Saloons at racing speed and is now being subject to refresh

This is a retirement sale with all wheels, tyres and flight case and boxes of 888 spares, drawings and parts lists together with air jack lance and regulator

Available as is or fully restored with either the existing engine or a new uprated version using Toyota F1 head sealing

The chassis can revert to Sodemo/Xtrac with no modifications
