This particular car – a 2016 model upgraded to the latest Evo II specification – would have to be one of the best examples currently on the market anywhere in the world. 

Exclusively maintained to the highest possible standard by the team at Melbourne Performance Centre (the official Audi Sport Factory Customer Racing Team in Australia), the car was successfully campaigned by Launch Racing in last season’s Fanatec GT World Challenge at the hands of Michael Kokkinos. A key point of difference with this car is that despite the highly competitive GT category, the Audi’s chassis is absolutely perfect - any minor scuffs or scratches to the body have been repaired or replaced with new carbon panels making this a truly exceptional R8.   

The Audi was upgraded to the highly desirable Evo II spec upon the package becoming available in 2021, with a raft of improvements made in multiple areas: aerodynamics, chassis, traction control, engine characteristics, and climate control. The most visually striking change is the rear wing suspended from behind which is shared with the GT2 variant of the R8 LMS and the RS 3 LMS touring car. Four-way adjustable dampers and a more configurable traction control system were also included as part of the retrofitted upgrade kit. In summary, the improvements associated with the Evo II upgrade make it the specification to have – and this car absolutely ticks the box.
