AC Cobra 427 FIA

In 1965, the Shelby Cobra 427 Mk III was distinguished by its massive 7-liter Ford engine, a true monster of power. A new chassis and body were developed in partnership with Ford in Detroit. The chassis, now equipped with 4-inch main tubes instead of the previous 3 inches, incorporated coil-spring suspension on all four wheels. 
In October 1964, two prototypes were shipped from British workshops to the USA, and production of the Cobra Mark III officially began on January 1, 1965.
The Cobra presented here is faithful to a 1965 Shelby test model. Modified in 2016 to FIA specifications by the specialist Burgol stable, based in Geneva.
Carefully prepared by Burgol, this Cobra took part in the Peter Auto 60s endurance races during the 2017 season, achieving notable results: second place at Le Castellet and third at Dijon. At Spa-Francorchamps, it completed a lap in 2 min 49 s, while at Le Castellet, its best time was 2 min 28 s. Between 2018 and 2020, the car competed in Peter Auto's CER1 series, notably at Le Castellet, Spa-Francorchamps and Monza.
Its current engine, a 500 hp 427ci V8, was assembled by Burgol and competed in just two races, at Monza and Le Castellet. This FIA Cobra, designed to the most exacting standards, has proved its reliability and is ready for new competitions.

This race-ready, high-performance Cobra is sold with all official FIA HTP documents (valid until 2029).
