2023 MSVR Sports Prototype A Sport Championship winning car, extremely quick and reliable. Owned since 2016 but due to various circumstances only used for last few seasons – multiple class wins and an outright race win to its name over that period.

Completely rebuilt around 2015 with relatively little use since, work done during rebuild (car is still in exceptional condition and maintained regardless of cost):

Excellent chassis with all new alloy panels, new propshaft protection, new side impact protection.

All new suspension components – wishbones, radius rods, watts linkage

JSM Motorsport full race 1700cc A Sport X-flow engine rebuild including fresh 711 block, twin 48 webbers, new roller rockers, clutch, flywheel etc. (clutch subsequently replaced since).

New gearbox with Quaife dog gears, alloy bellhousing, alloy tail shaft.

Mallock built twin bearing axle, high nip twin bearing hubs.

Rebuilt 4 plant wheel diff with alloy housing – 4.1 CWP.

New 25L bag fuel tank and fuel lines.

All new discs, brake pipes and master cylinders, Crosthwait & Gardner front and AP rear race callipers, new Pagid pads.

New dry sump oil tank, radiator, oil cooler, oil and water pipes.

New stainless steep Simpson exhaust and silencer – Zircotec coated

Two-piece top body section allowing bonnet to be removed without cockpit section (so much easier!!)

Aliant lightweight battery and charger

New Wosp starter motor

Mallock seat

In-date TRS belts for Hans device

Gas FEV fire extinguisher – out of date

New tall rollbar

Lightweight split rim MB alloy wheels with nearly new slicks

Ownership history:

Formally a very successful hillclimb car used by Alan Lloyd, Neil Crump, Nick Whale, Colin Pook and Piers Thynne. Martyn Halliday then carried out the extensive rebuild detailed above, finished in 2015, to convert the car back to Classic Clubman circuit spec. I purchased the car from Martyn in 2016 and in recent years have competed successfully in the very well supported MSVR Sports Prototype series.
