Description:
Probably the most period correct MkI GT40 replica in NZ. Built by ERA in the USA in 1991, with the correct right hand drive, and importantly, right hand gear lever. The car is in fabulous condition, and has been beautifully and fastidiously maintained by a mechanic with original GT40 race experience. Hundreds of thousands spent on it. New 289 V8 with 4 IDA webers. ZF five speed gearbox. Halibrand centre lock wheels (two sets). Mechanically, the vehicle is without fault, with all new suspension, brake and drivetrain componentry.
Period correct interior, dash seats etc. Has a NZ built roll cage and MNZ logbook. Has a Racetech drivers seat, which can be switched out with the period correct seat. A nice touch is the Chris Amon signature on the dash. This car is a striking classic race car, makes a hugely fun track day car, or a stunning show car for a collection.
