Manufactured on 10 August 1966, chassis number '1E 33304 ”' represents the Jaguar E-Type in – arguably – its ideal specification: a 'Series 1' Coupe with the covered headlamps, benefiting from the more refined and powerful 4.2-litre engine and the improved all-synchromesh gearbox. In addition, this car's left-hand drive makes it ideal for European touring. As a Series 1 model, '33304' incorporates many features not found in later cars, including covered headlamps, toggle switches, and over-bumper rear lights, all hallmarks of the E-Type in its earliest and purest form. The original chassis plate confirming matching numbers are still in place.
Its accompanying Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate confirms that this is indeed a matching-numbers and color example that was ordered via Jaguar Cars New York and left the factory on 18 August 1966.
Benefiting from a complete 'last nut and bolt' restoration by renowned specialists CRS of The Netherlands in 2015, the car has now covered some 2000 Kms and effectively performs to better-than-factory specification. All original components have been rebuilt to the highest standards and the engine was sensibly upgraded with a lightened flywheel, high performance exhausts and blueprinted for loads of extra punch and reliability. The final drive ratio has been adjusted to 3,07 and the shock absorbers are adjustable.
Handsomely finished in its original Opalescent Silver Blue, the car has a Dutch Title and can therefore easily be reregistered in any EU state without any taxes to be paid. Worthy of the closest inspection, this stunning E-Type Coupe is finished to the highest standard and ready to provide its fortunate next owner with years of reliable and relaxed high-performance motoring.
