This car has a great racing pedigree being the first 'facelift' Alfa 156 to win a race, beating the factory team winning their first ETCC race by a few hours! 

The car started life as one of the Group N specification cars that were commissioned by Alfa Romeo and built in Italy.  This particular car ran in the Dutch Challenge championship and came to the UK as a rolling shell in 2003.  NJS Alfa Romeo in Pershore bought and prepared the car using many spare components from Gavin Piper's 156 BTCC car, which was prepared by Team Dynamics down the road.  This included engine and suspension (Penske 3 way adjustable shock absorbers), and Euro6 BTCC spec ECU.

The car was raced very successfully by Neil Smith winning the Alfa Racer Championship and also his Class over several seasons.  Some lap records still stand. During this time the car was developed from a 'standard' looking 156 into a car with full S2000 bodywork, a 270hp taper throttle bodied engine with launch and traction control and pitlane speed limiter.  Also full AP Racing radial brakes, with 4 pot calipers at the front and 2 pot at the rear. Suspension is rose-jointed throughout

I have owned the car since 2009.  It was raced in the Alfa Racer Championship by me from 2010 and during my ownership further developed to include AIM datalogger and dashboard, AP air jacks and a brand new Bacci reinforced dog gearbox. Front wings, front panel, splitter and rear spoiler were fitted using carbon throughout. 

The car has only done one hour of running since a complete engine rebuild and the fitting of the new gearbox .  Requiring only a change of seatbelts, this car is ready to race.  

The cost of buildng a car to this specification is huge, for a fraction of the build price you can have a car that is a race winner out of the box in the right hands.

The car can be seen at NJS in Pershore by prior arrangement only. There is a small spares package that comes with the car including panels, wheels and tyres.  A Hewland EGT gearbox and heated front windscreen are available separately.
