General

• Van Diemen RF89 project for sale. Last hill-climbed and sprinted in 2009, then completely stripped for rebuild which now cannot be completed due to work & family commitments.
• Chassis stripped of old powder coat, cracked detected, re-powder coated with new floor (worked carried out by URS).
• Hewland LD200 4-speed gearbox fully rebuilt by JP Race (2016), with 3 spare ratios available.
• 2 x brand new aluminium front and 1 x rear upright. Remaining rear, with no repairs, in good condition.
• Front dampers rebuilt by Bilstein and dyno’d (print outs available).
• New anti-roll bars mounts & bearings.
• New hub bearings and retaining nuts.
• Brake calipers stripped and recoated, new pistons and seals. New master cylinder seals. Lightened front disc bells.
• Rebuilt steering rack (by URS).
• Bodywork and aluminium panels in good condition.
• Scholar Kent 1600 engine, less than 1000 miles since last rebuilt, but that was over 10 years ago, so could do with a freshen up. Inlet and exhaust system in very good condition.
• Aluminium bell housing has only a minor weld repair, clutch slave serviced (new clutch release bearing) with new seals.
• New front wishbones, new rear wishbone suspension clevises, with remaining suspension components (including rockers) in very good condition.
• Two sets of Weller rims available (1 x white, 1 x gold), with three sets of Avon ACB10s (2 x sets old race rubber, 1 x unused).

Work / Parts Required

• To clarify, the car is currently packaged in boxes after a house move, so assembly required!
• Rear damper rebuild.
• Radiators and associated water pipes functional, but tatty.
• Belts and fire extinguisher.
• About 75% of the car’s rose joints need replacement.
• Associated replacement fixings (k-nuts etc.)

• Spare inlet manifold.
• 2 x front and 1 x rear aluminium upright (repaired).
• Chassis stands & quick lift jack.
