If you are searching for a Supercopa Mk2 then look no further, this is the one you want!

 

Being a 2010 model it is one of the last Mk2 to leave the Seat Sport factory and benefits from all the developments that were introduced over the life of the Supercopa Mk2.

 

It came to me from Bas Koeten Racing in 2015, who are a very professional outfit and treated the car exactly as you would expect with perfect service schedule and adding their little touches to make it even better than when it left the factory.

 

I did a few Britcar events and later joined the Dutch Supercar Challenge. Its last outing was a podium finish at the Nürburgring GP in 2017. Unfortunately after my father’s passing there was no time for racing anymore and it has sat in my workshop unused ever since.

 

It has never been involved in any sort of major accident, I changed the colour after buying it simply so we could make it our own with a professional respray.

 

During our 3 years of fun with it we continued to maintain it impeccably and also improve on its performance and reliability further. A lot of attention paid to keeping things running at optimum temperatures.

 

In terms of running hours the engine has had a full inspection quite recently, it has been periodically started to keep everything turning and occasionally moved around in the yard since its last track action.

 

Fuel system has new Loba upgrade high pressure pump. Upgrade OEM VAG low pressure system all new, no fuel starvation issues right down to the last litre.

 

Turbo is also Loba upgrade part and there is another identical spec included as a spare. It makes strong power and torque, with a boost level that can be maintained throughout the race.

 

Gearbox was inspected and put back together with new seals and gaskets. It has the genuine Seat Sport DSG which features powerflow LSD and special mechatronic unit. It has had the expensive carbon clutch upgrade done and a custom cooler setup to keep temps under control.

 

Power steering pump and cooler upgraded. Quick rack fitted with strengthening brackets.

 

Alloy water radiator upgrade with new additional side rads.

 

Intercooler upgrade.

 

Simplified water system, the original is unnecessarily complicated due to being based on the road car TFSI setup.

 

New genuine Seat Sport wheel studs and nuts. (plus spares)

 

Over 20 wheels, 10 were bought new from Seat Sport recently. Set of Pirelli wet tyres like new, series changed tyre sponsor so we were unable to use apart from 1 test session. Set of Hankook wets with plenty of life in them. Many slicks with life in them, but please consider these are quite a few years old now.

 

Exhaust is ceramic coated from front to back, really helps keep temperature inside the car at a comfortable level. The standard car gets really hot inside in a long race! Spare rear section genuine Seat Sport cat included.

 

Fiberglass doors and boot fitted using plastic side windows. Rear doors using aero catch for weight saving. Original steel doors and boot included also with plastic windows. Spare wings also included. Spare front and rear floor sections included.

 

Genuine WTCC carbon bonnet vent (much larger than standard Supercopa part) also spare bonnet included with the original vent fitted.

 

Wheel bearings all replaced for new genuine VAG parts recently.

 

We have manufactured driveshafts specially for the car and also have a spare pair built up. If you take kerbs with original parts they can fail. Our shaft far exceeds the original part for quality.

 

New brake disc bells, plus spares built up, also spare discs and pads.

 

Windscreen is a proper Ford style heated element specially made version that we have fitted, the original setup was pathetic at keeping the screen clear when it rains!

 

Specially made external oil pump system that can scavenge and feed the turbo without the engine running. Re-fuelling mid race requires the engine to be turned off which is torture for turbo cars. Switch incorporated with original Supercopa panel.

 

There are lots more spares and things I could mention about the car, it was gone through after every event from front to back. Any part that looked worn or had done the recommended mileage was replaced regardless of cost.

 

Would make an amazing track day toy (passenger side floor has seat fixings in place), or put some in date safety gear on board and you are ready to go racing with a very well sorted car!
