Description:

BMW small case limited slip differential unit.  This unit has been fully rebuilt for my race E30 325, however the engine was never built so it has just sat on the shelf for a few years.  It has had all new bearings, input and output seals, friction discs and plates- literally all wearable parts replaced apart from the pinion and ring gear which are in great condition.  The diff ratio is 3.64 and the ring gear is 168mm diameter.

The end cap on these small case diffs is notoriously fragile- this one has an uprated item to ensure complete relaibility.  The rear cover has a solid nylon/aluminium bush pressed into it.  The oil has been drained now for inspection/pictures, but the diff was stored with the correct grade of oil in it.
