The Group C Junior category allowed independent manufacturers to compete in what was at the time a hotly contested category. Prototypes with lower approval weights thus emerged. Mainly powered by the famous V8 Cosworth engine from F1, the most successful Group C Junior cars were produced by Gordon Spice. Representative of this category, the SPICE SE89C chassis 09 is offered for sale. It won the Group C Junior Le Mans 24 Hours race in 1990, which was the last race in that category before it merged with Group C.
