The ultimate, best-groomed and probably fastest street legal Caterham Super Seven in Germany, very well known in the local scene. As new and from 2018 onwards even legal for historic license plate (in Germany).

Due to lack of time, I sell my Seven with a heavy heart, which I bought new in 1997 at Seven Cars & Parts in Dusseldorf, Germany. I am the first and only owner since then. German road registration. A Caterham of that high specs would not be allowed to be road registered new nowadays. Original S3 left-hand drive chassis, hand-soldered by Arch-Motors for Caterham. Originally delivered in polished aluminum, I got it repainted a few years later in mango yellow (current colour).

Over the years and various stages of evolution I have easily put more than 100.000 euros in this car. Only the best and lightest parts were installed, money no object:

The engine is based on a 2-liter Vauxhall 16V, which was tuned by famous „Kronenburg Motorsport“ (Eindhoven, NL) to 286 hp and is virtually a durable STW/BTCC engine. Steel crankshaft, light flywheel, CatCams, polished head, larger valves, steel conrods, Sachs Twin Plate Clutch, forged pistons, direct-to-head-butterfly-TBs, KMS management with lambda control, Aeroquip-Kevlar-Hoses, Caterham-Drysump-System and various Spiess / Swindon factory tuner components, limit 9,000rpm. Real power, no turbo-shit.

Sequential Quaife 6-speed transmission with gear indicator and flat-shift option, CTG carbon-fiber drive shaft, RIAL multi-piece 13 "rims. Carbon parts: nose, fender, interior trim, dashboard, cage trim, turn signals, headlights, battery holder, footwell cover, 2 seats and much more. Limited-Slip-Differential, foamed Continental Safety Fuel Cell, Safety Devices Cage, Quick Rack, Racetech Quickout Hub, adjustable torsion bars, Titanium Raceco Muffler, Stack Dash, Aluminum Radiator, SBD Manifold, Nitron-Race-Suspension, DMSB -Wagenpass.

Over the years, my Seven has run less than 20,000km, of course accident-free and has never seen a gravel bed or had foreign car contact despite various Trackdays and SMRC Cup successes. No rust, no corrosion, nothing. Only driven in dry conditions (not kidding!).

The suspension has been set up MOG-Racing (Joachim Westermann), as well as various conversions. No annoying understeer, perfectly balanced and steerable with the right foot. Best in class in the sports car tuner GP. The car goes like the proverbial hell and is not a comfortable tourer for 2 weeks Tuscany holidays. 0-100 under 3 seconds, top speed 235kmh. Lap time Spa-Francorchamps 2: 38min, Nordschleife well below 7:50min with a lot of safety marginb left. Suspension is perfectly set up for road tires and Michelin slicks. Just switch the wheels and there you go. I own cars from Zuffenhausen and Maranello, but in terms of performance, the Caterham wipes the floor with both of them.
