All part were new when fitted.

Late spec 2014 engine - was fitted when built with 29k miles on the clock.  Just fitted 2015 gearbox that came out of a car with 27k miles on the clock.  Engine had bottom end refresh and head refresh with valves re-seated before the last race at Snetterton in 2017 by Tommy Field Motorsport. Car was rolling roaded at the start of the 2017 season by Sanspeed - made 139 but I suspect it will be a bit higher than that since Field motorsport did engine work. The car was originally built from a 2005 shell- car was previously owned by a guy that was a MX5 owners club fanatic. 

When we built the car, it was stripped down to the last nut and bolt - all sealer, sound deadening and undersill stone chip were removed from the shell before painting. Car has to have  20kg of lead added with 13.5 stone driver to make the weight.  I have had no serious issues or mechanical failures since we started with the car.  The car has not had any major damage in the races we have contested - all minor scuffs and rubs have been re-painted and the car has been mechanically checked over and is ready to test and use from tomorrow.
