Description:

In 1996, Legeay sport has produced two GT1 prototypes to race the 24 houres of Lemans.

The project has been supported by Renault.

The car selected for this project has been the spider Renault. The main chassis in Aluminium has been used as a base and modified in the front to get a specific front block made in aluminium, while in the back a steal case chassis has been created to support a 3.0 V6 twin turbo PRV engine link to a DGB Hewland gearbox. The egine deliver between 520ps GT2 to 600ps GT1.

This engine choice is reducing the utilisation cost as it is the cheapest engine to buy or revised (less than 20k euros), and the gearbox has been design to support 40% more torke and power.

Those two cars have been racing in GT1 and GT2 , that enable the team to race now in both categories. They have been recognized and register by the ACO, so they are eligible for Le Mans as well as Perter Auto raced and Masters Endurence Legends.

The two cars, have been fully reconditionned with new parts, keeping their original chassis, but changing all the consumables. Only the electronic engine gestion has been changed to a Motec, but this is acceptable by the legislation.

All the drawings, moulds, body moulds are owned my us. We are able to produce any parts alone at a very efficient cost. It enable us to ensure a utilisation cost two times lower than a dodge viper. 

The cars will be delivered with FIA papers. They will also have  GT2 and GT1 wheel's set and intake admission calibration. This is the only difference between the two categories.

We will keep on stock on top of the cars a large stock of spare parts, that could be sold separately or keep on stock with a define price in our facilities.

 

The first car will be ready in March 2018 and the second in May 2018.

Here is a description of what as been done:

chassis polished, all suspension parts sand and paint, shock absorber revised, all blade changed, brake capliper revised, lifter revised, all radiators new including tubo intercollers, new motec engine management, new bodyworks All parts, new tank, new fuel pumps and filters, engine reviesed with every thing new internally, turbo reviesed, exaust pipes new, DGB gearbow opened and reviesed, clotch new, Paint new as the body is new as well. All cockpit is new, belts, fire system, etc...    At the end the car itself is delivered as if it was 1996!!!
