With the ABT TT-R ABT Sportsline has celebrated the most beautiful motorsport series in the 2002 season. The ABT TT-R was hard to beat: at least one ABT driver was on the podium in nine out of ten DTM rounds, and in the end Laurent Aiello won the DTM title in the yellow ABT TT-R.
This vehicle, driven by Laurent Aiello himself, convinced in 2002 across the board. Friend and foe were agreed after the season that the best driver on the best car deserved to win the title. The Frenchman won four races and scored in nine out of ten races. The Abt TT-R proved to be its biggest competitor, the Mercedes CLK-DTM as slightly superior, which lay next to the maximum performance, especially on its good driveability.

The car in 2005 went into the hands of Tomas Liedl in Slovakia, where it ran from 2005 to 2011 (see passes with all the reindeer at that time).
In 2013, Antonio Garcia became the new owner, but did not race. At the end of 2015, Team Abad Competició acquired the vehicle in Spain and participated in 5 national mountain races. In 2015 it was completely redesigned and decorated in team colors white, blue red.
