Description:
Regretfully I have to sell my much loved Peugeot 205 Gti-6 race car due to buying a house. I have raced this car in track day trophy and p8r racing saloons with multiple class wins in 2015 and 2016 car is eliagable to race in track day trophy ,tin top, and many other series sprints and hill climb cracking little car evereverone that's driven this car love the way it handles
This car has been built with no expense spared from a bare shell upwards, The shell itself has had a full multi-point weld in roll cage, including front strut triangulation and rear beam mounts; a dash bar, crossed door bars all built into the cage and tagged to the A and B pillars .
The front suspension top mounts have been strengthened and fully seam welded, including the engine bay. All the unnecessary sealer and brackets have been removed to keep the weight down. It has a Custom made front panel holding the radiator and oil cooler. The boot floor has been modified with drop tube’s built into the cage so the rear beam now mounts straight to the roll cage not the shell as standard the rear beam now mounts 20mm higher then standard
The rear beam has been full stripped and re-built with new bearings and seals, Sip Brown negative camber and toe adjustment, This beam has been designed with competition in mind with a huge 30mm anti-roll bar and 25mm torsion bar. Rear brakes Mintex drilled and grooved disc with race pads. New wheel bearings fitted with 14mm stud and nut kit, Bilstein rear dampers and 309 Group N tarmac dampers. It also has solid beam mounts. The rear beam has been painted black and silver to match the car.
Front End
Fully seam welded front sub frame with added support, 309 Gti anti-roll bar with fully adjustable rose jointed lower arms, 205 Gti hubs with new bearings and 14mm stud and nut kit, the front suspension units are Bilstein B8 coilovers re-valved to suit 600lb 2 ¼ id springs. Adjustable rose jointed top mounts with a power steering rack fitted with switchable electric power steering from a 106 Gti.
Front brakes are 285mm disc with Willwood 4 pot callipers with Mintex 1155 pads the brakes and willwood grooved and drilled discs operated by a very rare magnesium (PTS)) brake bias pedal box with F/R adjuster bar in the car, Willwood rear adjustable bias valve to the rear brakes, All of the brake lines run though the car using -3 braded Teflon hose with -3 (JIC) swivel fittings throughout the car
Engine
The 205 is using a 306 gti-6 fully rebuilt last season ,Citroen Xsara VTS 5 speed gearbox with a Tran-x plated diff. The gear kit has been shot-pined and stress relieved with new synchros using 309 Gti drive shafts, Gear linkage is from Satchell Engineering, only just fitted and running a 4 paddle Helix race clutch. The engine itself is standard but with fast road Kent cams. Simple reason for this is that we wanted it to be 100% reliable and at 175 to 185 bhp is more then ample for a car this size I do have a rolling road print out last time it was done mid last season at 185 who that was mapped by ray west car is running an emerald management system with its own race loom : An alloy radiator and a high capacity Mocal oil cooler have also been fitted for reliability. Engine oil and gearbox oil has been changed every 3 meetings
The exhaust is a custom made 2 1/2” Ashley exhaust system that was only 98 db at sound check at the last meeting the car was used
Wheels
The 205 comes with 2 sets of 8x15et10 Team Dynamic Pro F2 in gloss black and good 205/50/15 Toyo R888R tyres.
Body has been painted in silver and black on the outside and Audi TT battleship grey inside and under the engine bay. The 205 has been fitted with wide rally arches as the track has been widened over standard, it also has an Auto bonnet with vents made by Cool Lovers. It comes with a very rare heated screen seldom seen in a 205
Perspex side windows, carbon fibre door cards, small race battery fitted in boot with its own battery box, dash pod remade with custom carbon back with rev counter and oil pressure gauge and water temp made to look standard with stop lights. The centre panel been made out of carbon holding an AEM wideband AFR gauge, oil pressure gauge, switches and kill switch with push start button, fuse box mounted on dash, one seat fitted and with a flocked dash. Fuel pump is in the in boot with swirl pot, with fuel lines running through the car. It also has a removable steering wheel
I may have missed bits out due to the high standard of the build, so come and look at the car and see for yourself how good it is.
I have a massive spares package with the car, lots of brand new parts, spare body panels, engines, wheels, just too much to list. 2k worth of spare
This car is race ready for 2017 regs and has lots of new parts ready for the season to start in April . The only thing I would be keeping is the seat as they have been tailor made for me, but the car would be sold with a race seat fitted
