Chassis #19, raced in the 1999, 2000 & 2001 series of the Renault Sport Clio Trophy.

This is a genuine ex works competition car with race history in original condition. Not altered from manufacturers spec - aside from a second seat fitted.

The Trophy cars were built as a single make series competition car to promote the new Clio 2 range and pre dated the road going v6 cars.

They were built in 1999 at the Renault Sport Dieppe Factory, with a total production of around 150, of which only a handful are in the UK.

This car remains in 2001 evolution specification and is is extremley original condition. Since the trophy series ended in 2003, many of these cars have been modified to compete in other disciplines, but this is one of a handful which is still original.

It was owned by Italian racing team 'Sitec Motorsport' in 2001 and raced by Andrea Belicchi, finishing 14th overall. I have found videos of the series and these can been on my youtube channel (link provided below). 

Belicchi won the 1998 Renault sport Spider series and finished second overall in the 1999 Clio Trophy series. He also  went on to race for Rebellion Racing in the Le Mans series and is currently racing in the TCR International Series with a SEAT León.

After the 2001 series, the team auctioned off their cars and #19 entered private ownership. I then purchased it from its first private owner in France back in April 2015 and have since used it twice at Origine RS, a show for Renaultsport & Alpine cars at Goodwood. Video included which gives you an idea what its like in the cabin.

The Cambelt was last changed in 2013 and the gearbox was refreshed Feb 2015 and has had approx 2-3 hours of gentle track use since. Fluids were refreshed prior to the last use which was approx 1-1.5 hours.

The sale includes a number of spare parts including front bumper, 2 front wings (both sides), drivers door, bonnet, spare rear lights, original slick tyres and a few other parts. 

The car is in 'as raced' condition and has not been restored. 

I have had a custom exhaust silencer made which enables the car to be used on 98dB track days. This can be easily removed. Also included is a smaller silencer kit for 102dB days.
