Description:

The Hart 420S is based around the aluminium block designed by Brian Hart. Unlike the Cosworth BDG, the main bearing caps are integral with the sump adding strength to the bottom end. Currently the engine is fitted with a late spec. Geoff Richardson BDG cylinder head.  The original head is included in the sale.  Fitted with fairly mild cam shafts allowing engine to run at 1000 rpm during warm up.  Lucas injection (8 mm). Includes twin plate clutch. A rare engine which deserves a nice period car as a new home.
