2007 Renault Master 2.5 DCi 3.5 ton van converted to take a modern single seater with all kit. I built this from scratch in late 2014 to take a Formula Renault (500kg) and race in France, it's perfect being ally panelled with ally ramps so the weight is low to start with. The total height is 3m and 6.5m long so it's within the size permitted by Brittany Ferries to keep out of commercial cargo pricing.

Internal width is 2m, the car I put in was 1660mm so it has space down one side for tools, awning, etc. The roll hoop was 900mm so there is ample room for clearance, if you have a bike engined SS or similar you could probably put it in front first and leave the rear wing on - the FR was 3400mm without the nose cone which left enough space for a moped (approx 4m internal length).

 

The living area is fitted out with - 

 

Large double bed

Shower enclosure (you can't fully stand but it's fine)

Sink with mixer tap connected to Henry 9L water heater (runs on camping Gaz or electric)

Fridge & gas hob

Plenty of storage and space for Theford toilet

2 x skylights, LED lights, leisure battery fitted, mains hookup

Totally insulated, boarded and carpeted 

 

The van iteself runs well, currently on about 187k and had new set of injectors fitted at start of 2016 - v reliable and cruises well. MOT until March 2017, good tyres, new pads, alternator and belts fitted 2015.

I've had some amazing trips in this van and spent weeks at a time living in it (it's super comfy), I'm sorry to see it go - only selling as the FR has been sold and the new car is simply too big (prototype) to fit. Ideal for BHC/sprint car, European events, etc.
