This Royale RP31/M is chassis No. 5 . Alan Cornock supplied the car new to a German importer of racing cars called Andreas Herbst, along with 3 other cars, back in 1982 and this car appears to have spent its life racing in Germany. It was stored for the last 20 years before I bought it about a year ago, and I have spent the last year refurbishing the car with many new parts, and it is now ready to be enjoyed by a new owner.

The car is being sold as a rolling chassis with a Hewland Mk9 gearbox, and bellhousing suitable for a FF1600 engine. Included also are the exhaust, starter motor and header tank that were attached to the FF1600 engine that was taken out of the car before I bought it. I am sure that many other engines could be used if you don't want to run the car as a Formula Ford. I also have a copy of the original ROPS certificate for the RP31.


This is what I have done on the car, after it was stripped down.

· Chassis rubbed down and repainted with VHT satin chassis-black
· Brake discs refurbished
· Front & rear uprights repainted
· Suspension, wishbones, steering rack, ARB’s all cleaned and refitted..
· All brake calipers refurbished and repainted professionally by http://www.brakecaliperspecialists.uk/
· Anti-intrusion plates made for front lower wishbones
· HANS-compatible seatbelt mount fabricated, and HANS seatbelts fitted (expiry end-2017)
· Suspension bushes made from Delrin/Acetal
· Gearbox mounting bushes made.

· Aluminium oil tank - custom made by SM Engineering
· Ignition coil.
