This car was built by Volkswagen Racing UK back in 2006 using the very best parts available back then, and is now back in our stock after being in dry storage for the past 5 years for an overseas owner. It's being offered for sale at a very appealing price of just £8,000 GBP or near offer.

All parts on this car were brand new when built in 2006, including engine, gearbox, all suspension and drivetrain plus many very hard to source ‘factory’ parts from Beetle Cup. The car has only done a couple of full seasons racing since it was built, plus some one-off races.  

Race winner in 2007 at Brands Hatch and Snetterton in the Volkswagen Racing Cup, plus 2 pole positions and podium finishes, showing what a highly competitive car it was back then.

We built it to be extremely strong, lightweight and reliable, and under the Volkswagen Racing Cup power/weight regulations the V6 was tuned down for just 230bhp, meaning it's an extremely understressed car mechanically with potential for much higher power if required.

Now probably best suited to the VAG Trophy Class B where it would be an extremely competitive car, plus any 'open' saloon car championships, or even a strong and reliable track-day car.

The car was put into storage after it finished its last race, so appears to all be tidy and in fine mechanical condition.  There are a number of racing scars and signs of use around the car that a new owner could refurb and make perfect again easily, or just leave the car as it is.  In particular, the rear bumper has cracks in it, and some dents in the bonnet (seem to be from someone leaning on it, rather than track damage).

As the car has not been used for 5 years, the seat, belts and extinguisher are all out of date for circuit racing - which is reflected in the very competitive price.
