This car was built for racing from a shell by West Suffolk Racing and is ready to race as a competitive car, just needs a spanner check etc.

BMW M3 E36 3.0 in Alpine White

This car is fairly much ready to race just needs spanner check etc. I bought the car in February 2011 but didn’t run it until autumn 2011 at Brands for 30 minutes testing where we got it into the 54s bracket which was very promising for a first time out.

The 1st race at Snetterton in 2012 (2nd place) only the second run in the car, Silverstone (9th in race one due to oil leak and 4th starting from 9th in race 2 when repaired) and Brands, 3rd on grid then got knocked off at Druids by an impatient Sierra at the start of lap 2. I then did Mallory where we had a broken exhaust possibly as a result of the knock at Brands. Then one final race on the Brands GP in September with BARC/SE as I had never driven the GP circuit. Great fun!

History – (as told to me by the previous owner)

The car won the Kumho championship in the hands of Luke Stevens. Tony Brass bought it and had several wins and a lap record at Snetterton.

Then Steve Markey purchased it and ran it for Kevin Guinness in TTRS. The last time the car ran before I purchased it was at Thruxton 2010 where Steve put it on pole by over 2.4 seconds from the next guy on a damp track. Outline specification

3.0 ltr engine rebuilt in winter 2008/9. I have the invoice for works carried out. It has a £1,100 Carly motors carbon air box fitted. Starts and runs very smoothly.

Professional Multi point roll cage. Cage picks up on front and rear suspension. It has apertures ready for air jacks.

Proflex 3 way adjustable dampers serviced winter 2012/2013 with new hoses and seals etc. Estimated replacement value £6K

AP 4 pot brakes front, M3 rears. Brake proportioning valve in cabin. Had new brake pads fitted all round for Brands Hatch meeting (last race it did)

6 no. Team dynamics wheels with Toyo 888 tyres. The 2 spare wheels have brand new tyres. The ones on the car are useable but probably needs new tyres for this season

Zero 2000 electronic fire extinguisher, brand new spring 2012

Carbon door cards and rear fire wall. Removable steering wheel

Corbeau Revolution seat in very good condition with 6 point Luke harnesses purchased Spring 2012.

ATL long range fuel tank and filling jug with low & high pressure pumps, filters, and swirl pot.

New battery 2012 – lightweight battery holder in place. AMB transponder included with sale

New Steering rack fitted 2012

New fibreglass bonnet and boot in 2012 and M Tech rear spoiler (legal for pre 93)

Spares

There are 4 Spare rims 2 of the same style with new tyres (mentioned above) and 2 split rims no tyres. Spare wishbone and trailing arms and steering joint. Smoked rear lights were changed for standard but are supplied with car

Metal bonnet and boot and GT style rear wing with tray. Style as per picture below, wing currently fitted to boot. (not legal for CTCRC pre 93)
