Formula Ford 2000 Tiga 1978 in pristine condition.
Tiga Race Cars was formed in the UK in 1974 by a pair of former F1 drivers - Australian Tim Schenken and New Zealander Howden Ganley. The company name was an amalgam of Tim and Ganley. By the time the firm closed its doors 15 years later nearly 400 chassis had been constructed for a wide range of formulae, including: Formula Ford, Formula Ford 2000, Formula Atlantic/Pacific, Thundersports, Can-Am, Sports 2000, Formula K, IMSA and Group C. Victories were achieved in numerous series and individual events and many of the cars built by Tiga continue to provide good service today.
The yellow Tiga on sale is a 1978 Formula Ford 2000. Discovered in Belgium in 2008 where it had remained in the same hands for many years, and raced with success across Europe. The car is understood to be eligible for the increasingly popular Historic FF2000 Championship in Class B,
Raced by Amanda Whitaker in 2010 in HSCC and Classic rounds at Croft and Cadwell pk.
In 2012 the car underwent a full rebuild by Neil Fowler and has only done two races and one test since the rebuild and is in pristine condition.
It comes complete with FIA Historic Technical Passport and two new sets of revolution wheels with a very good set of slick and wets, there is also a third set of wheels fronts are also revolution.
The seat belts are in date until the end of 2017.

With historic motorsport still growing throughout Europe, there is strong demand for sound, reliable cars accompanied by the right paperwork; racers that are eligible for one or more of the many popular series currently being organised.
