For sale my 106 GTI race car. This is a very special car with a proven track record of race wins and championship wins over multiple seasons in both saloon car racing with previous owner (35 trophies) and hillclimbs/sprints with myself (10 trophies). If you've been to Castle Coombe or Harewood Speed Hillclimb you are likely to have seen it in action.

A full detailed specification is listed below and would be approximately £50k to build now. It been very reliable in the 4 years I have owned it, in that time only issues were a new starter motor, lift pump and split fuel hose. Sandy last checked over the car on rolling road before 2025 season where it produced 240.8 BHP power and 162.3 LB/Ft torque, it also sounds incredible.

Its a very easy to drive fast, both the engine mapping and the handling setup with full Satchell Engineering widened front end and Spoox rear, with P1 6 pots providing the stopping power. I am a relative novice and this was my first race car, I got 6 wins, 2 2nd places and won the 3B class championship in my first full season with this car. All requirements for saloon car racing are still in the car all in date, so if hillclimb/sprint there is still some weight could take out, currently sits at around 730kg. It has an MSUK passport for speed events and I also have a V5 in my name.

The only reason for sale is I want to progress into rear wheel drive racing, if I had the space and money to do both this is a car I'd likely never sell.

In my ownership most of the work has been undertaken by Autorara who are a specialist in car restoration and also have race engineers in the team (they got a lot of attention for their concours 205 GTI restoration), so the car has been professionally cared for too. The car is on the button and ready to go. There is also a spares package included.

In addition to the car I have a rare Brian James 125-2002 twin axel A4 trailer with 3.3 x 1.7m bed, 2000kg load, upgrade jockey wheel, upgrade integrated ramps, manual winch, high level tyre rack. Its the largest trailer you can fit in a modern house single garage, really easy to tow and manuver by hand - I race on my own so move it all loaded myself. It was also serviced inn 2025 by TrailerTek who notes what good condition it is in. New with all upgrades this cost £7,500. I'm looking for £3500 and will give first refusal to buyer of 106.
