The Snobeck Opel Vectra B Super Tourer was built in 1996 by Danny Snobeck in France, commissioned by Opel Team Belgium. The car was designed and built specifically for the 1996 Spa-Francorchamps 24 Hours. Danny Snobeck engineered and constructed the vehicle in accordance with Super Touring regulations. The bodywork was developed by the British specialist RML (Ray Mallock Ltd), while Snobeck and his team developed and built the chassis and engine. The engine is a unique unit built specifically for the 24-hour race—distinct from the engines produced by Spiess or Swindon at the time. For instance, instead of Swindon throttle bodies, SWR throttle bodies from Remscheid, Germany, were used. It features an Xtrac 6-speed gearbox (206 version). The Vectra B was a new model; the previous year (1995), John Cleland had won the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) with the Vauxhall Cavalier A—also an RML-built car. Additionally, Snobeck installed a special, high-capacity fuel system in the Vectra to suit the demands of endurance racing.

This specific right-hand-drive vehicle is the only one of its kind in the world.

It is therefore a true collector's item, yet also suitable for competitive classic racing in numerous series, such as the Super Touring Revival within the "Golden Era of Touring Cars" framework. Following the 1996 24-hour race, the car competed in the French Supertourisme Championship in 1997 with Jacques Laffite, and again in the 1998/1999 seasons with Patrick Herbert and James Ruffier. After that, the vehicle was not used in events again until 2020, when it appeared at the Oldtimer Grand Prix at the Nürburgring and the DTM Classic at Assen.
