Reluctantly selling our RX-8 racecar due to other life priorities, and the need to free up immediate funds to hopefully allow a return to track action in something different down the line. 

I've had it since the start of the 2025 season where we raced in the MSV Trackday Trophy, before moving up to the Championship this year. It has entered 10x races in that time, securing two 2nd place finishes at Cadwell & Snetterton and only suffering 1x DNS (again at Cadwell where we were set for another podium having qualified 3rd in class). 

The car has been well maintained and worked on / setup by renowned Mazda motorsport wizard Ray Worley at Boreham Motorsport. The interior has been stripped right back to save as much weight as possible, along with the installation of Lexan side windows, and also has:

• Adjustable Meister coilovers
• New clutch (fitted April '25), plus new master & slave cylinders (fitted March '26)
• R3 differential with shorter 4.77 final drive (fitted April '26)
• Uprated radiator / cooling system
• Race Technology data logger
• Braided brake lines + new Carbotech front pads (fitted at last race)
• 4x Yokohama Advan A052 tyres (control tyre for the series) which have only been used for a damp quali + race (~60mins track time) at Mallory Park
• Up to date safety equipment including full cage, new TRS harnesses, plumbed-in extinguisher (serviced March '25), in-date seat, quick release Sparco wheel, all mandated electrical cutoffs, rain light, etc.
• Uprated fuel pump + fuel drain kit
• Lightweight battery + ballast bracket in passenger footwell
• A particularly tuneful exhaust system which also shoots massive flames (but still passes the mandated noise test levels!) 

I also have a donor car available (an ex-RX8 Trophy car purchased April '24 for £4,500) which we have used for parts, but crucially still has a spare healthy engine (and is fully caged). Plus, a spare set of wheels / tyres (A052s which have done a damp Mallory test day + quali session at Cadwell) are avaialable with a handful of other bits & bobs. 

I can also include a Mylaps transponder with lifetime subscription if needed - price listed is exclusive of these items, but happy to do a deal for these as well and will throw in at a much lower price than I could sell them for seperately on eBay.

Please do note that it will require a new gearbox (can usually be found for ~£300) but once sorted, will be ready to take to the track and hopefully keep delivering some silverware! A hoot to drive, very well-balanced, and has proven very competitive despite my distinct lack of talent compared with the frontrunners (usually Boreham Motorsport MX-5s)!

Car is obviously not road legal so will need to be trailered away - if I don't answer phone calls (because I literally seem to get hundreds a day at the moment) then please drop a text / WhatsApp and always happy to answer any questions, share more images, or arrange a viewing - of course a relatively tricky thing to price so I am open to offers if the logic is sound... because I could really do with the storage space ASAP (and I would quite like somebody who will give her the attention she needs and continue taking her out for races).
