For sale is an original BMW E46 M3 CSL S54HP engine.

Engine is complete as shown in the photos and comes exactly as pictured. Genuine CSL-spec S54HP motor removed from the vehicle and now available for sale.

The CSL received a 0-mile replacement engine as part of a full restoration, hence this original engine is now surplus and offered for sale. Engine was running OK prior to removal, however compression readings were low based on testing.

Compression test results (hand cranking only, as the engine had already been removed from the car at the time of testing):

• Cylinder 1 – 70 PSI
• Cylinder 2 – 50 PSI
• Cylinder 3 – 70 PSI
• Cylinder 4 – 70 PSI
• Cylinder 5 – 60 PSI
• Cylinder 6 – 25 PSI

Please note these readings were taken by hand cranking the engine after removal, so results will differ from a conventional starter-motor compression test performed in-car.

A Geoff Steel airbox with filter is also supplied.
