Description:

2018 Caterham Academy car – purchased by me at the end of the 2018 season, upgraded to 270R specification and then raced with Caterham Motorsport in 2019 and the Caterham Graduates in 2020-2022 (plus a couple of outings in 2024, including a podium in the hands of someone with clearly more talent than myself).

No racing at all in 2025 (just a few trackdays).

The car has always been reliable (never failed to start or suffered a mechanical failure) with setup done by the race teams in the CGRC paddock when required and regular oil/fluid/pad/maintenance work done by myself. Comes with the Vbox lite currently fitted (~£750-900) along with an upgraded lithium  LiFePO4 battery from JWM (£285 new).

Has a V5, currently tax’d with a daylight MOT, sitting on my personal plate – which will be swapped to its previous registration (GX67 DPK) at sale.

Eligible to race in the Caterham Graduates or could race in other caterham series, hillclimb, trackday or drive on the road.

If I get the full asking price I’ll pay for a CGRC Full/Trophy membership (if you’re intending race) or for entry on the CGRC Caterhams-only trackday at Snetterton on 29th March.

Cosmetically not perfect (but it’s a race car)

Notes:
The passenger and driver bead seats in the car are moulded to my eldest/me respectively…  if these aren’t a great fit for you I’m happy to give you a W1i style GRP seat with fixed rails to fit instead, or discount the car by £500 if you’d prefer to do a DIY bead seat for yourself (can highly recommend this and can recommend some items to use) or to put towards a professional fit. Buyers preference.

In common with most racecars the speedo cable was disconnected so mileage shown reflects the previous road mileage only when in Academy trim.
