Description:
Chassis number F2-7a-57
The Cooper Car Company and Johnnie Walker whisky empire heir Rob Walker are synonymous, RRC Walker Coopers being considered alongside factory entries as the holy grail of a change-defining era.
This Mark III (T51) supplied to chief mechanic Alf Francis - known as F2-7a-57, successor to Moss’ T45 which had carried 7 - won its first three races in Stirling’s hands, at Albert Park, Melbourne (Australia) in November ’58, then Ardmore (New Zealand) and Goodwood (Glover Trophy) in ’59. Trintignant’s third at Monaco presaged victory in Pau’s F2 GP.
This iconic car with a wonderful period finishing record has graced the finest historic events. Regularly invited to compete at Goodwood due to its provenance, ideally suited for HGPCA races and superbly prepared by renowned specialists IN Racing, the T51 is offered with UK HTP.
